Yannick Mayaud is a prize-winning conductor with a particular interest in new composition. He is currently musical director of the Philharmonie du COGE in Paris and is a member of Chroma Kollektiv, a new music ensemble based in Germany.

Yannick Mayaud won third prize at the competition held by the State Opera Varna, covering symphonic and operatic repertoire. His prize includes a performance with the Chamber Orchestra Dobrich.

Yannick Mayaud made his debut at the Berliner Philharmonie, sharing the stage with Sylvain Cambreling to lead Ensemble Modern to "soaring heights" (Tagesspiegel newspaper) in their guest performance at the annual Musikfest.
The Philharmonie du COGE, an amateur orchestra and choir based in Paris, have selected Yannick Mayaud as their new Musical director from 2026 onwards. He will conduct the 70-strong orchestra and 50-strong choir in three concerts a year.
